Cedar Chest with Inlays
I built this cedar chest with decorative inlays in the lid as a partner piece to a Japanese-inspired shoe cabinet I built for my Dad.
For strength, durability, and ease of use, I installed a piano hinge to attach the lid to the base cabinet.
I love all the different patterns of the wood species
